Mozilla Firefox 5 Review

Mozilla Firefox 5 was released today (22/06), exactly 3 months after Firefox 4 release or a month after the fifth beta version of Firefox was released.

Emergence of a new cycle begins Firefox 5 which follows Google Chrome system by presenting updates and bug fixes faster.

If this cycle continues to proceed Mozilla then at the end of 2011 likely will have to Firefox in version 7.

    - Support CSS animations
    - The transfer of the location setting of Do-Not-Track
    - Completion of an idle HTTP connection features for increased performance
    - Improved canvas, JavaScript, memory and networking performance
    - Improved standards support HTML5, XHR, MathML, SMIL, and canvas
    - Improved spell checking multiple languages
    - Completion of integration in Linux desktop
    - WebGL content no longer load the texture of other domains
  - Setting Tab background for setTimeout and setInterval is set to 1000ms to improve performance
    - Stability and security fixes



Firefox 5 Review

Broadly speaking, after testing Info Technology feels there is a slight increase in performance compared to the version of Firefox 4, but changes are not too significant.

Firefox 5 has the same look exactly like the version of Firefox 4 for 5 more priority updates to core applications such as better support for Web standards, bug fixes, performance improvements and some minor changes.
